Why?

Humans, we're weird. one way or another.

have you heard people saying things like these:

  • i'm weak in my studies, cuz i don't study

  • i'm weak in sports, cuz i don't do sports

  • i'm not able, but i'm too 'busy' to care about it

  • most of the times, when we're faced with problems, we simply choose the easier way out. to ignore and do nothing about it.

to make it weirder, most of the times, we know the way out. but we're not willing to pay the price.

is doing the right thing so hard? why is it that most people choose to be ignorant and remain in their problems?

    why?

    -----

being awesome has it's price tag, are we willing to pay it? if no, why not?

everyone is given the same chance to be awesome. all we need to do is to choose, to choose to do the right things.

i decide to change today. i decide to be a good steward over the opportunity to be awesome.

every moment of our life, we're placed in front of decisions and options. it's what we decide to do that makes the difference i guess

but yea, i know the reality that it's hard to do the right thing always. but i know of a truth that is higher than the reality.. God's strength is made perfect in my weaknesses.

here's a video, enjoy and be blessed.

[Britt Nicole - The Lost Get Found]

    Hello my friend
    I remember when you were
So alive with your wide eyes
Then the light that you had in your heart was stolen
Now you say that it ain't worth stayin'
You wanna run but you're hesitatin'
    I'm talkin' to me

Don't let your lights go down
Don't let your fire burn out
'Cause somewhere, somebody needs a reason to believe
Why don't you rise up now?
Don't be afraid to stand out
That's how the lost get found
    The lost get found

So when you get the chance
    Are you gonna take it?
There's a really big world at your fingertips
And you know you have the chance to change it
There's a girl on the streets, she's cryin'
There's a man whose faith is dyin'
    Love is calling you

Don't let your lights go down
Don't let your fire burn out
'Cause somewhere, somebody needs a reason to believe
Why don't you rise up now?
Don't be afraid to stand out
That's how the lost get found
    The lost get found

Why do we go with the flow
    Or take an easier road?
Why are we playin' it safe?
Love came to show us the way
Love is a chance we should take
I'm movin' out of the way

Don't let your lights go down
Don't let your fire burn out
'Cause somewhere, somebody needs a reason to believe
    (Stand out)
Don't let your lights go down
Don't let your fire burn out
    (Stand out)
'Cause somewhere, somebody needs a reason to believe
Why don't you rise up now?
Don't be afraid to stand out
That's how the lost get found
    The lost get found

So when you get the chance
    Are you gonna take it?
There's a really big world at your fingertips
And you know you have the chance to change it

    Thoughts about life, again.

For the past four days, i was rather upset and restless due to the fact that my internet wasn't working. without internet i felt like missed out something big in life.

i'd admit that i've got quite a big internet addiction. i tend to waste my time on the net. surfing for basically nothing important. playing games. reading blogs. "socializing". and the such.

it's true that the advancement of such technology has brought us quick access to latest info, and yes, it's also true that the advancement of such technology has made quite a big impact the society. good and bad.

being without internet for the past few days, i realized that i spend too much time on the net, and computer. and most of the time, i'm not doing work or anything important. so...

i'm gonna try to reduce my time wasted on the net and computer. because it's one big time robber of mine. besides, i'm still on my quest to be a good steward of everything God has placed in my life, which includes time, life, people, and the such.

    on a random note:
i had a wrong idea of selfless love, applied it wrongly, seeing how things could go wrong without having the right essence of the matter. time to change. :)

    Random song?

heard of the row row row your boat kids song? no? then here it is:
    Row, row, row your boat,
    Gently down the stream.
    Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
    Life is but a dream.

    here's my own remix version:
    Cough, cough, cough it out,
    Gently out your throat.
    Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
    Let the phlegm get out.

the song is here cause i'm keep coughing, as there's an accumulated amount of phlegm due to the recovery process. it's annoying, but it's a good thing tho

My itinerary for 15 Aug 2009.

Something worth remembering, at least, to myself.... this is the 70th post! :)

Something worth jotting down i guess. i have a feeling it's gonna be long... so read on if you're interested... haha, you may skip otherwise.

    Summary:
    Cyberjaya → Kajang(orphanage) → UKM →
KL Central → Masjid Jamek → Pudu →
    Pasar Road → Nixie(electronics shop) →
Pudu → Masjid Jamek → KL Central →
    Putrajaya → Cyberjaya = RM 22.30

Actually, im perplexed as on what to do now, tired but not the right timing to sleep, not hungry yet my brain is sending signal to me, not exactly free but don't feel like doing it.

And yea, so here am i. Anyways, i'll start with a picture, and then you'll have to read if you're interested xD

today started off quite good, though some of my group members were late, but it wasn't a big deal, i mean for Malaysians. Hah! We gathered at Cyberia roundabout at 9am as we were planning on a trip to one of the orphanage in Kajang. The journey to the orphanage was smooth nonetheless.

when we arrived, we saw kids running around, cleaning up the place, stacking up chairs and the like. without wasting more time (some was wasted waiting earlier on), we unpacked all our props, yes props, gifts, guitar, laptops and we went in.

the kids were like a pack of tuna fish, (God forgive me if my description is offensive)... and yea, they were in rows, lining up one by one, and they shook hands with everyone single one of us... and we tried our best to shake hand ("interfacing" by Shabil - One of my lecturer that describes interfacing as handshakes. Hah! ) ...

we quickly placed our belongings on one of the table and began our activity.

we started off with a game we learned during our orientation back last year... the kids didn't follow our instructions, who could be blamed for such happening? most of the kids couldn't understand us, there was a communication breakdown. we couldn't understand them, neither could they. thankfully, some of the older ones offered a helping hand to translate and convey the message to those who were lost.

even so, they still didn't follow our instruction exactly, but hey, no problems at all... they're kids after all... where's all the fun when you're still a kid and the grownups and trying to spoil the fun by implementing rules and regulation right?

so we played the game for quite some time, and repeated it to "double check" the winner haha... congratulations to the kids in group 1... they were the youngest in age among the other groups...

after the games, Jervin, Khai Chuan and myself get ready to present the kids a sketch... i think our moral teacher would say this to us: "korang suka berlakon sangat ke?" haha... cuz we did a movie kindda thing-y during our first presentation.

anyways, it went smoothly, i guess. in the act, the role i played was a teacher and having Jervin and Khai Chuan my students. the main purpose of the act is to encourage the kids about the benefits and importance of studying. we added laughter and lots of humor in it to cater for audience of such young age... oh, i forgot to mention, the kids were like 3months old to form 3... the gap was relatively large but most importantly, we had fun! or at least, i had :P

following from that, some of us taught the kids basic computer skills, mainly focused on the usage of powerpoint. asides from teaching, we offered them a competition to see who could design or create the most creative slideshow. the kids were so into it, they even had sweat on their brows (it was hot in the afternoon)... not because of the competition, haha, forgive me, i was just attempting to make the story more interesting, if it wasn't interesting enough

we spent approximately 45 minutes in that part, and we had a sing along session with the kids. we sang "Give me oil in my lamp" and "I love You Jesus". Praise to be God; most of the kids there were Christians, so Jervin and I was able to lead ans sing christian song along with our other groupmates who have yet to know Christ. they were open enough to sing aloud and yea, it's just a beginning of something greater ahead in life i believe.

we enjoyed the song, and the actions, everyone "danced" along... and oh, of all the place i thought i would be worship leading in... i never saw this coming.. but yea, i wasn't prepared, didn't do a great job, but yea.. i'll give my best the next time such opportunity comes.

prize giving! who could miss this right? we did.. not :)

we arranged the gifts in it's place, and gave prizes to the kids who won in the games, and the powerpoint slideshow. the good news is, when you are kids, everyone is a winner :D so each and every one of them got prizes from us as well.. the grin on their faces is hardly remembered, but the emotion and atmosphere is vivid in my heart <3

soon after, we packed up, had a photograph session, bid our farewell and left.. there's just so much detail that i'm kindda lazy to add in hah!

    the end?

not really, just so you know, we reached there at 10am, and we left around 1pm.

after the visitation to the orphanage, some of us had our own following agenda, so we headed to the Kajang KTM station. for the few of us who had our own agenda, the first station that we headed to is KL central. we saw the train coming, we got too excited, we boarded the wrong train. LOL. we stopped at UKM, which is the next-wrong station. we waited there for quite a while..

there was a delay, apparently, but yea, it happens all the time la..

when the correct train arrived, we boarded it, but it was jam pack. Sardine fish.. haha.. but we finally made our way to KL central. the three of us said goodbye and took on our journey to our own destination.

i had McD for lunch in KL Central, was hungry, and lazy to find for other alternatives.. the portion was a lil too big (yes, weird! it never happened before) ... perhaps it was because i'm still in my recovering process.

Later, i made my way to Masjid Jamek, so that i could "change train"...

to keep it simple, i'll write as short as possible....
at masjid jamek, i boarded the other train and headed to pudu. at pudu, i walked towards pasar road, searched high and low for Nixie (a famous, electronics store) to buy some components for me 8051 assignment. anyway, after like half an hour or so, then i only found that shop.. it's only my second time there after a year.. can't blame me right?

after that, headed back to masjid jamek, then to kl central again.... and yea after that, i took the KLIA express ERL back to cyberjaya.

eventho my itinerary looks short on written form, believe me it was a long day out.
in total, the amount i spent on transportation itself was RM22.30 ... gg

how do people even survive traveling via public transport daily... and they say it's cheap? hah!

My itinerary on 15 Aug 2009

*coverage area* lol.... too bad, but as wide as digi/celcom/maxis!!!

i guess that's it for now la, haha ...

    and yea, praise God again.
the fever saw the evacuation notice XD

Thanks to all who kept me in prayer :) appreciate it :) thanks again.

on a random note, i picked up guitar again... somehow.. but yea, i had fun with it... still is.. but now finger pain xD

i'll be going to a orphanage tomorrow for my moral group assignment. my teammates and i had made our plannings, still got some practices and stuffs to do.. i hope all goes well...

after the orphanage visitation tomorrow, my friends and i would most likely go down (or is it up?) to pasar road.. to get our components for our 8051 assignment.. i hope i don't miss out on any component la.. :|

that's it for now. ( oh, i'm planning to switch over to windows 7 next week :D )

    Thoughts regarding fever::

    Random Thought 1:
Call your doctor right away if you are an adult and you:

    * Have a fever over 105 °F (40.5 °C), unless it comes down readily with treatment and you are comfortable
    * Have a fever that stays at or keeps on going above 103 °F
    * Have a fever for longer than 48 - 72 hours
    * Have had fevers come and go for up to a week or more, even if they are not very high
    * Have a serious medical illness, such as a heart problem, sickle cell anemia, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, COPD, or other chronic lung problems
    * Have a new rash or bruises appear
    * Have pain with urination
    * Have trouble with your immune system (chronic steroid therapy, after a bone marrow or organ transplant, spleen was previously removed, HIV-positive, were being treated for cancer)
    * Have recently traveled to a third world country

    Quoted from: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003090.htm

checkout the point which i bold-ed and underlined ... does it mean that i need to visit the doctor everytime i have a fever? i'm in a third world country afterall... hahah

    Random Thought 2:
"Fever is an important part of the body's defense against infection." -MedlinePlus

    Thank God i have fever?

    Random Thought 3:
Before sin, i wouldn't be sick now. After sin, sickness was introduced to the earth. nevertheless, God came to set me free

"Before sin" statements are such a wonderful thing. it provides awareness towards how good life could be without sin. nevertheless, Jesus came to set us free from sins and ungodliness.

I'm God's righteousness through Christ. :) life is never the same with God.

(p/s: Jesus was there before the world was created.)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i hope to be well by tomorrow morning, by God's grace tonight. else, i'll be paying the doctors a visit; hopefully not for nothing. :)

our God,the same God in ancient China

    [ copied directly from timothy's blog. ]

a truth that have been discovered,a message by Kong Hee.I hope you guys have a clearer understanding.(hours of searching for those chinese poems)

Chinese always have something in mind that christianity is a western religion.Lets have a look at a few facts.
Taoism came in 6 bc,while Confucianism and buddhism came in on the 5th bc,what about the bc before that these religions came into mainland china? The chinese actually worshipped a God,which is alike to our God in the old testament, which they called him 上帝 or 上天 notice the word 天 is originated with the word 大 which means big and our God is above it. - above the大 and it makes the word 天.

司馬千 recorded 皇帝 actually built an altar in 泰山 worship 上帝
he also recorded a song by a scholar which goes 上帝者,天之別名也,神無二主(史記。卷28鋒禪書第六) carrying the meaning that the there's only one God.

another song in the Ming Dynasty 於昔洪荒之初兮,混濛,五行未運兮,兩曜未明,其中挺立兮,有無容聲,神皇出御兮,始判濁清,立天立地人兮,群物生生. It simply means that before God created the universe there are no planets, the sun and the moon and earth are yet to form. And when God started his creation, day and night was separated .He then calls forth every living begin. Here we reffers to Genesis 1:1 and it exactly matches what was recorded by the historian, that "the earth was without form....God separated light from darkness...and then He created man" It proves that before Idolatry, the chinese people worshiped a singular supreme God which has the same nature and character with Jehovah!
Chinese writings came 2500 ...to be continue out to hostel

even i am waiting for him to continue the story.. so you readers just wait la.. haha
